A Gift Certificate from the Alexandria & Arlington Bed & Breakfast Networks (AABBN) is a thoughtful, flexible gift. Gift-givers may specify a particular B&B and/or the dates of stay or leave these to the option of the recipient. In any case, AABBN maintains the gift in its registry. Gift Certificates may be used at any of the B&Bs in the AABBN Networks and they are transferable to thousands of Bed & Breakfasts in the US. Gift Certificates used outside of the B&B’s listed below entail a 10% “External B&B” service charge.

Gift Certificates are free, if the entire face value is paid within 7 days by check. Otherwise, gift certificates cost $30.00 or 5%, whichever is greater. ALL GIFT CERTIFICATE SALES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE, because they entail significant up-front work by AABBN.

The Alexandria & Arlington Bed & Breakfast Networks (AABBN) can assist givers and/or recipients in selecting an appropriate B&B. Givers receive a simple Gift Certificate for presentation to the recipients. After receiving the gift, recipients must contact AABBN to reserve the desired dates. Reservations are first come, first served. If the dates desired by the recipient are not available or if the recipients prefer a different B&B, AABBN can assist the recipients in selecting suitable accommodations of equivalent value. AABBN will transfer the gift.

The gift certificate is not required for redemption of the gift, as the gift is maintained on file at AABBN until redeemed or for two years from the effective date of issue. The name of the giver and the recipient are included in our registry.

The Giver secures the gift certificate with a major credit card. A check for the whole amount must be delivered, payable to AABBN, within seven days. The dollar value can be quoted on the Gift Certificate or left off. If the recipient does not use the entire dollar value, AABBN will attempt to provide equivalent value in dining or other amenities at the selected B&B.
